NY I-678 Bridge Replacement

Our client asked us to design and provide a sixteen point Synchronous Jacking System to both raise and remove the existing bridges spanning over the I-678. The existing bridges were placed on a set of rollers and pushed off to the side so that it could be demolished and taken away, using the same sixteen point Synchronous Jacking System.

Then the existing bridges placed on a set of rollers and pushed

to the side so that it could be demolished and taken away, using the same sixteen point Synchronous Jacking System.

The new bridge was then placed on rollers and rolled into positioning then using the Synchronous Jacking System was lowered into place.
This was done for both bridges on I 678. The Jamaica Avenue bridge and Hillside Avenue bridge job was a big success. See the letter from the client.
